// about this course

The next step in the #smithingifted Micro:bit pathway. Students move from following coding instructions to independently designing, testing, debugging, improving and explaining their programs: variables, compound conditionals, state, probability simulations, coordinate animation, functions, sensors, timing, radio and an independent design project, ending in a multi-stage Coding Escape Challenge.

// what you'll learn

  • Independently plan and design a program
  • Use variables, conditionals, loops and functions appropriately
  • Incorporate sensor inputs and event-driven coding
  • Systematically debug and improve code
  • Interpret data generated by programs
  • Explain and justify programming decisions
